The Three Crows

The Three Crows (三羽ガラス, Sanbagarasu) were a group of Mysterious Beings and members of the Monster Association. They were each killed by Lightning Max, Sneck, and Suiryu.^[1]

Appearance

The Three Crows had the typical appearance of a black crow. They were very large and had three legs and muscular human arms.

History

The Three Crows used to be Gouketsu's disciples. They were weak-willed and lost their personas after monsterification.

Plot

After the Super Fight had ended, The Three Crows fly inside the C-City Super Stadium and hold Rosie, Dave and Bazuzu hostage.^[2] They then attack and defeat the martial artists, enforcing Gouketsu's offer on them and not letting them escape. However, they are killed by the combined force of Suiryu, Sneck, and Max.

Abilities and Powers

Not much is known about The Three Crows. Given the fact they were a Demon-level threat, it is presumed that they were fairly strong. They easily defeated several martial artists. Each individual crow was presumably around a Tiger-level threat since A-Class heroes like Lightning Max and Sneck were able to challenge and defeat them.

Physical Abilities

Flight: Their feathered wings allowed the Crows to fly.

Enhanced Strength: They were able to wound Suiryu with their punches, although this was when he was already significantly weakened and had a broken arm.

Enhanced Durability: One of the crows survived a Lightning Kick from Lightning Max.

Fighting Style

Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: As disciples under Gouketsu from when they were human, they were trained in martial arts. While they lost their egos, they retained their combat skills and could use their beaks, fists, and claws to attack opponents. They had good teamwork.

Trivia

The Three Crows are a reference to a number of mythological creatures:

Their design is based on the Yatagarasu (八咫烏, eight-span crow), a three-legged crow present in many mythologies of East Asia.
Their name might be a reference to the Japanese expression 三羽烏 , which refers literally to the three crows as a symbol of doom, and figuratively to a triumvirate, a trio of people who excel at their job.
