| — Gyoro Gyoro, when Tatsumaki arrives. |
Tatsumaki vs. Psykos is the battle between the S-Class hero Tatsumaki and the Monster Association's military adviser, Psykos.
Prelude[]
Gyoro Gyoro begins the battle.
Gyoro Gyoro is on the throne, analyzing the battle situation, when Tatsumaki suddenly appears at the monster's side, questioning if it's worried about the cadres being wiped out. She asks if it's the boss. The monster welcomes her, declaring that Tatsumaki is someone it must handle personally. Gyoro Gyoro introduces itself as the Monster Association's military adviser and, with a sadistic grin, tells the female esper to drop dead while using its psychic powers to barrage and surround her with boulders.
Battle[]
Gyoro Gyoro attacks Tatsumaki.
Gyoro Gyoro attempts to crush Tatsumaki by compacting the surrounding rocks into a tight sphere, but she easily breaks free and mocks its weak psychic strength. In retaliation, Tatsumaki launches a barrage of rocks at Gyoro Gyoro, who barely manages to erect a psychic barrier in time. However, she pierces through it and tears off the monster's arm in the process.
Realizing the threat she's become, Gyoro Gyoro unleashes its full power and reveals its true form. Its body expands dramatically, and multiple eyes emerge across its body. Declaring itself the superior esper, it tells Tatsumaki to enjoy the fight as much as she likes.
Gyoro Gyoro is defeated.
It then surrounds Tatsumaki with concentrated gravity waves, sadistically claiming it will dry her out like a persimmon. But Tatsumaki is unfazed, sarcastically commenting that the waves are just relieving the shoulder stiffness she got from using a new pillow. With complete control, she shreds Gyoro Gyoro's limbs, leaving it bleeding out. The monster, broken and overwhelmed, reflects on how badly it underestimated her until seeing her power up close. It concedes defeat but also accuses her of cruelty in how she dismantled its body.
Tatsumaki, however, knows what she fought was nothing more than a meat puppet. She states confidently that she will now extract the real body. Gyoro Gyoro is stunned she saw through the deception and admits it was too early to face her. With no other choice, it calls out to Orochi for help. Tatsumaki recalls hearing that name before, and Gyoro Gyoro confirms that while it is the military adviser, Orochi is the true boss of the Monster Association, and even as his creator, it cannot fully measure the Monster King's strength.
Gyoro Gyoro then wonders why Orochi has not responded, despite being under its control after years of brainwashing during his monstrous transformation. Tatsumaki suggests that Orochi is probably fighting an S-Class hero. While not on her level, she acknowledges their considerable power. Gyoro Gyoro contemplates this and begins to fear the possibility of a hero capable of occupying Orochi and taking precedence over its own survival. Defeated and alone, Gyoro Gyoro starts begging for its life.
Later, one of Gyoro Gyoro's spy drones locates Orochi's discarded mask, believing he was defeated by an unknown hero. The drone immediately sets out to identify the victor and develop countermeasures. It eventually locates King, who flees upon seeing it. As the drone pursues him, Saitama suddenly appears and obliterates it with a single clap. Gyoro Gyoro, unaware of what actually occurred, assumes King moved so fast the drone never noticed. Believing King to be the one who defeated Orochi, it laments even the Monster King's fall. Tatsumaki, playing along, compliments King for a job well done. She then turns her attention back to Gyoro Gyoro, attempting to draw out the true puppetmaster. In response, Gyoro Gyoro summons multiple eyes that fire beams of energy in an attempt to kill her. Tatsumaki remains unharmed, impressed by the technique's elegance and subtlety. With complete dominance, she extracts a human body from within Gyoro Gyoro, casually asking if it is one of Fubuki's friends.
Tatsumaki restrains Gyoro Gyoro's real form.
Tatsumaki realizes that the human body she pulled out is just another lump of meat, and that Gyoro Gyoro had only been pretending to be cornered to mock her. Meanwhile, 1500 meters underground, the true controller of the puppet, Psykos, is stunned by Tatsumaki's overwhelming power, admitting even she is at her limit. Still, she believes that Black Sperm and Homeless Emperor together are capable of killing anyone. Formulating a new strategy, Psykos decides to wait until the cadres finish their battles, then telepathically command them to swarm Tatsumaki while she stays hidden and prepares another puppet. Smiling with ambition, she envisions herself as the one who will go down in history for changing the world. But things do not go her way. Tatsumaki locates her position. Psykos is shocked, having set up multiple relay points to mask the signal and maintain secrecy. She concludes that Tatsumaki must have detected the faint telepathic waves emitted by the Gyoro Gyoro puppet and traced them back. Tatsumaki, unfazed, tells her to come out and join the party as she restrains her with psychic force. In desperation, Psykos tries calling for the cadres, remembering that Overgrown Rover is still active. She sends out her strongest telepathic signal, ordering Rover to attack Tatsumaki. Unfortunately, Overgrown Rover is already engaged by Bang, Bomb, and Fubuki, leaving Psykos completely exposed.
Tatsumaki successfully begins pulling Psykos to the surface, but the evil esper resists and counters, dragging Tatsumaki several floors down. The two clash violently, their psychic energies crackling and surging with enough force to blast nearby monsters away. They repel each other in a burst of energy. Psykos declares that this will be the day Tatsumaki falls and blames her for pushing things this far. Tatsumaki dismisses the drama and shifts the topic, questioning her about Tareo, noting there is another child aside from Waganma. As she casually wipes out the surrounding monsters, she presses Psykos for an answer.
Psykos shoots an energy beam.
Psykos fires eye beams of psychic energy, but Tatsumaki counters them with ease. The beams split and annihilate a few unfortunate monsters in their path. Demanding an answer, Tatsumaki retaliates with a telekinetic punch that staggers Psykos and leaves her reeling. Pressured, Psykos admits that another child had been brought in by Royal Ripper, though she does not know the boy's current location. She adds that the only other outsiders in the hideout are Narinki's Private Squad and Garou. Before the interrogation can continue, Sweet Mask arrives, reporting that he eliminated the mercenary squad and seeks support against his opponent. Tatsumaki scolds him for his failure and general incompetence. Psykos takes note of the internal conflict among the heroes and recognizes Tatsumaki's unwavering confidence in her own victory.
Suddenly, Orochi appears, absorbing a number of monsters and launching a massive attack on Tatsumaki with his multi-headed dragon assault. The surge of power allows Psykos to break free from Tatsumaki's control. Overjoyed to see Orochi alive, she commands him to fuse with her so they can amplify her psychokinesis with his immense energy. Orochi responds, extending his gooey, shapeshifting body toward her.
