— Suiryu to Gouketsu. |
Suiryu vs. Gouketsu was the fight between Suiryu and the Monster Association executive Gouketsu.
Prelude[]
Suiryu stands victorious over the newly transformed martial artists, though he bears some injuries and bleeding. He notes the significant power-up Choze gained from the monster cells, remarking that it's the first time he's bled in quite a while. He realizes that if Gouketsu surpasses Choze in strength, it could spell trouble.
Gouketsu tries to persuade Suiryu to become a monster, arguing that it would be a waste to kill him. He suggests that by consuming a monster cell, Suiryu could join the ranks of the Monster Association as an executive member. Contemplating the offer, Suiryu picks up a monster cell, but just as he is about to consume it, he throws it at Gouketsu's face, declaring that becoming an "ugly" like him isn't worth it.
Battle[]
Suiryu strikes Gouketsu with his Void Sky Dragon Fist, only to be met with a hammer punch from Gouketsu. He quickly crashes to the ground as Gouketsu, unharmed, declares that since Suiryu refuses to become a monster, he will die.
For a brief moment, Suiryu lies still on the ground. Gouketsu gives him three seconds to rise. When the time runs out, Gouketsu brings his foot down, but before it can make contact, Suiryu leaps onto Gouketsu's shoulder and unleashes a flurry of punches. Gouketsu is entertained by Suiryu's persistence, yet he feels no impact. Gouketsu attempts to grab Suiryu, but the martial artist jumps back to the ground. Relieved to still be standing, Suiryu realizes that if he sustains another severe blow, he will be finished.
Suiryu glances to his right and sees The Three Crows attacking the other martial artists. In that brief moment, Gouketsu sneaks behind him and delivers a punch. Suiryu blocks the strike, but in doing so, he breaks his arm and is knocked off his feet. Gouketsu then steps on Suiryu while taunting him. He gives Suiryu three seconds to rise, or face being crushed. Fueled by adrenaline, Suiryu snarls and manages to push Gouketsu's foot off him with his uninjured arm. He lunges sideways, leaps up at Gouketsu, and with all his strength, strikes with his Void Quake Tiger Fist. Unfortunately, Gouketsu simply pinches the attack with three fingers, holding Suiryu aloft and unleashing a series of flicks with his fingers, dealing significant damage.
Suiryu is tossed on the ground, barely managing to get back up. Bruised and bloodied, he looks up at Gouketsu, realizing not only is he powerful, but he also surpasses him in every regard. Gouketsu kicks Suiryu in the chest, knocking him yet again to the ground. He tells Suiryu to show some resolve and stand up, giving him only three seconds. Suiryu manages to get back up, though almost all of his energy is drained. Gouketsu comments on this while acknowledging Suiryu's superior performance compared to the other fighters. Bored with the battle and recognizing his obvious victory, Gouketsu kicks Suiryu toward The Three Crows, who have already defeated the other martial artists, intending for them to devour Suiryu as a snack.
Aftermath[]
Surrounded by The Three Crows, Suiryu calls out to Bakuzan for help. However, Bakuzan refuses, consuming multiple monster cells before collapsing from overdose. Just as one of the Crows moves in to finish Suiryu, Sneck and Max arrive to save him.
