One-Punch Man Wiki

Saitama vs. Empty Void is the off-screen and anti-climactic battle between Saitama and the Ninja Village leader Empty Void.

Chronologically, this fight concludes either during or shortly before Speed-o'-Sound Sonic and Flashy Flash vs. Heavenly Ninja Party. Blast has already witnessed the aftermath of Void's defeat before stepping in to interrupt the ongoing ninja battle.

Prelude[]

After hearing Flashy Flash's story about the Ninja Village, Saitama heads to Speed-o'-Sound Sonic's hideout, intending to beat him and the Heavenly Ninja Party, considering them troublemakers who are just seeking attention.

When Saitama arrives, Void suddenly charges from inside the abandoned building, drawing his dual swords in an attempt to strike. He is instantly countered off-screen with a single punch, his body slamming into the ground and leaving behind a human-shaped crater.

Aftermath[]

Saitama sits around waiting until he is joined by Overgrown Rover, Blast, Flash, Sonic, and the Heavenly Ninja Party, all transported to the hideout by Blast's portal ability. Saitama explains his encounter with Void. Following this, the Heavenly Ninja Party bursts out laughing, refusing to believe he defeated their leader. They attack him together, but are instantly knocked out as well.

Suddenly, a crack opens in the sky, resembling a dimensional tear. This happens because Blast has wandered too far from his station. Byakko and Genbu, two divine beast guardians serving "God", burst through. They immediately cause destruction, leveling nearby city blocks. However, Void, now freed from "God's" influence and returned to being human due to Saitama's earlier knockout, and Blast put an end to this by overpowering the two divine beasts before Blast sends them back to another dimension where they came from.

Trivia[]

  • In the original webcomic, Saitama confiscates Empty Void's weapons and gives them to Sonic and Flash. No one else is present during this encounter.
    • In the webcomic, this is also the final appearance of Empty Void (referred to only as "That Man"), while in the manga, he later reverts to his human form after the fight and joins Blast in his mission to oppose "God" once more.
