— God to Homeless Emperor[1] |
Power Bestowal is the ability to bestow strength, new abilities and powers upon others.
Overview[]
The user can give new abilities, strength or superpowers to others. So far, Orochi and "God" are the only known beings with this ability.
Usage[]
Orochi[]
The Monster Cells generated by Orochi; can bestow significant increases in power on a human when consumed willingly, by transforming the affected individual into a Mysterious Being.[2] The stronger the human, the stronger the monster transformation will be.[3]
God[]
"God" can bestow powers upon humans and transform them into Mysterious Beings. It gave Homeless Emperor, once an ordinary human, the ability to summon energy spheres capable of immense destruction akin to the Dragon-level threat, Vaccine Man. With this newfound power, Homeless Emperor ascended to become a Dragon-level Mysterious Being, easily overpowering the S-Class hero Zombieman in their battle.[4] Furthermore, "God" granted Psykos a massive power boost during her fusion with Orochi,[5] increasing their potency to such devastating levels that a single energy attack from the newborn fusion is able to cut through the Earth's surface, lifting the oceanic crust and creating tsunamis over a portion of the planet's hemisphere,[6] This enhanced fusion was even capable of engaging in combat with Tatsumaki,[7] an extremely powerful S-Class hero recognized as the Hero Association's ultimate weapon.[8]
Thanks to the powers granted by "God", Garou gained an awareness of the flow of energy and the behaviors of all cosmic forces; the Hero Hunter also having become capable of fighting against a serious Saitama, albeit losing in the end.
When a human makes contact with one of the mysterious cubes, they can establish a connection with "God" and potentially receive its power, leading to transformation into a Mysterious Being if deemed worthy. However, failure to meet the criteria results in "forfeiture," leading to death.[9] The criteria by which "God" determines worthiness remain unclear. This mysterious entity has sought to sway others into accepting its power by manifesting before them, often assuming the likeness of individuals they respect, such as Blast and Bang in attempts to influence Tatsumaki and Garou respectively.[10][11] It appears that touching its hand is necessary to receive its power.[12] "God" can reclaim granted powers and the lives of its recipients at will.[13][14]

Trivia[]
- Although God has granted Homeless Emperor the ability to summon and control energy spheres at will, it is unclear if his superhuman speed and reflexes are also from the same source.
