One-Punch Man: Hero Encyclopedia (ワンパンマン ヒーロー大全, Wanpanman Hīrō-Taizen) is the first One-Punch Man encyclopedia. It went on sale on October 3, 2015.

Content[]

This encyclopedia contains information about the heroes of the Hero Association (their up to date ranks as of the Hero Hunt Arc and data level), villains, monsters, battles, and the general world of One-Punch Man. It also comes with a making of and interview with ONE and Murata, a quiz, a popularity poll for techniques and scenes, and an extra chapter. Information on the structure of the Hero Association is also provided. The information covers up to Volume 9. Genos provides commentary on various fights. The encyclopedia includes a playable version of Doki Doki Sisters.

  • Armored Chief Clerk is revealed to be a businessman who quit his job to become a hero and paid for his armor with his severance pay.
  • Jet Nice Guy won the lottery and used his winnings to pay someone to turn him into a cyborg.
  • The origins of certain hero names are revealed:
    • Flashy Flash and Sneck chose their own hero names.
    • Magic Trick Man's name comes from his battle style of using Magic Tricks, which he is proficient at.
    • Bang's hero name comes from his hair color and fierce fighting power.
    • Red Muffler is named after the red scarf he wears in order to distinguish himself as a hero.
    • Red Nose is named for his unusually red nose and apparently his mother made his armor based on it.
  • Lily is Fubuki's personal assistant.
  • Bang invented Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist while training together with his brother Bomb.
  • Child Emperor teaches classes when he isn't a hero.
  • Spring Mustachio comes from a rich family and works in his tea-shop when not working as a hero.
  • Apparently, nobody, not even the Hero Association, knows who the real Doll Master is.
