The Ninjas Arc is the nineteenth arc of the series, and the fourth arc of the Neo Heroes Saga.
Plot[]
Saitama nearly hitting Flash
Flashy Flash, determined to make Saitama his disciple to help him reach his full potential, visits Saitama's apartment where Saitama is playing video games with King. After a brief scuffle with Genos and multiple rebuffs from Saitama, Flash's persistence is finally rewarded when he convinces Saitama to have a training bout at one of Flash's training sites. If Flash defeats him, Saitama will become his disciple, but if Saitama can land even one hit in thirty minutes, Flash must leave him alone. As their match goes on, Saitama easily deals with Flash's attacks and is about to land a punch on the cornered ninja, but Genos interrupts the match before there can be a conclusion, telling them about a monster alert.
Meanwhile, Heavy Kong, Bone, and Peach Terry struggle to defeat the Internet Surfers. As they fight, the Internet Surfers notice Speed-o'-Sound Sonic watching nearby. Saitama, Genos, and Flash then arrive on the scene. Sonic is surprised to see Saitama hanging out with Flash. Suddenly, Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame appear as well, leading to a standoff between the heroes, the monsters, Sonic, and the ninja duo. In a blur of speed, the Internet Surfers are swiftly defeated, and Saitama has buried Sonic in concrete, while Flash overpowers Wind and Flame, forcing them to retreat.
Blast at the Hero Association Headquarters.
Saitama, uninterested in the "disciple and rival" dynamic, decides to search for Manako himself, and tells everyone to go home. Genos, Sonic, and Flash encourage him before departing. Later, Saitama visits King to play video games and shows him a drawing of Manako. King recalls seeing the figure somewhere, and together, they head to where Manako is, successfully capturing her after setting a trap. Once Saitama, Flash, and Manako gather at Saitama's apartment, they agree to reach out to Sitch to contact Blast. When they arrive, they are surprised to find that Blast is already at the Hero Association Headquarters.
Blast greets them as Flash dashes behind him, reminiscent of their first encounter underground, and asks about the battle against "God". Once again, Blast dashes behind Flash, explaining that he is there to discuss that matter. Blast confirms the link between the Ninja Village where Flash was raised and "God", revealing that the leader of the Ninja Village, known as "That Man," has awakened and resumed his activities.
The Heavenly Ninja Party appearing at Sonic's hideout.
Meanwhile, in his hideout, Sonic is approached by Wind and Flame, who intend to finish him off. However, they are interrupted by Destructive Devastation and Violent Force, who greet Sonic before all members of the Heavenly Ninja Party show up and introduce themselves. Sonic is surprised to learn that such a group of ninjas exists, as the Ninja Village prohibited socializing among its members. They explain that their perspectives changed after the village's destruction. The ninjas inform Sonic about the awakening of "That Man" and their plans to assassinate Flash, eliminate Blast, and ultimately rule the world. They demand that Sonic lure Flash there the following night, when "That Man" will also be present, before leaving.
Back at headquarters, Flash shares what he witnessed in the Ninja Village. Alongside Sonic, he saw a recovering "That Man" in a capsule who appeared inhuman, as well as an enshrined mysterious cube nearby. He questions Blast about whether the true purpose of the Ninja Village was to create pawns for "God", to which Blast affirms. Additionally, Blast reveals that "That Man" has assembled elite ninjas from the village to form a group called the Heavenly Ninja Party, which he suspects will soon make contact with Sonic and Flash. At Hero Apartment 104, Flash begins to recount his and Sonic's past in the Ninja Village, including how he was responsible for the deaths of everyone there except Sonic on the day of his graduation exam. Afterwards, Flash receives a letter of challenge from Sonic and sets off to his location. Meanwhile, Blast discusses with Sitch about Empty Void and hopes to free him from "God's" influence. Saitama decides to go to Sonic's place to beat him and the Heavenly Ninja Party, considering them a group of troublemakers trying to attract attention.
Upon arrival, Flash and Sonic engage in a duel until the Heavenly Ninja Party interrupts, frustrated that Sonic failed to lure Flash to their chosen location. When Sonic attacks one of them, they brand him a traitor and decide to eliminate both him and Flash. The battle battle ensues until Blast, guided by Overgrown Rover's nose, arrives to prevent what he considers unnecessary bloodshed. The Heavenly Ninja Party, recognizing Blast as their primary target, attacks him, only for Blast to swiftly take them all down without killing anyone.
Empty Void defeated by Saitama off-screen.
Blast teleports Sonic, Flash, Rover, and the Heavenly Ninja Party to Sonic's hideout, where they find Saitama sitting beside a crater shaped like a human figure. It turns out to be Empty Void, the Ninja Village leader, who has already been defeated by Saitama off-screen. The Heavenly Ninja Party refuses to believe it and attacks Saitama, only to be knocked down effortlessly. Suddenly, a tear in space appears, and two interdimensional Mysterious Beings burst through from the Rift in Spacetime. Blast remarks that this is happening because he strayed too far from his designated post.
The two monsters are revealed to be Byakko and Genbu, divine beasts who serve as guardians of "God". They immediately wreak havoc across the surrounding area, destroying entire city blocks, but Blast shields everyone present with an energy barrier. Holding Rover, Saitama leaps over the beasts and tells them not to bark at his dog, preparing to punch them. However, he is distracted by Void, who has woken up from being knocked out by him earlier. Void and Blast then overpower Byakko and Genbu, eliminating the beasts and sending them back to where they came from. Void's monsterized face begins to crack, revealing his human face beneath. With Void having broken free from "God's" influence and become human again, Blast calls out his name with joy.
Sonic and Flash attacking Void.
Void is then attacked by Sonic and Flash, but Blast intervenes to stop them. The two claim they were simply testing Void's skills. Void expresses regret for not trusting Blast and falling into "God's" trap. He then tells the Heavenly Ninja Party that he must return to the front line against "God" and promises to make things right with them later. After seeing Saitama remove "God's" power from its minions, Blast asks for his help in the battle against "God" when the time comes. He then activates his portal ability, after which he and Void travel to the Rift in Spacetime. Upon arriving, they surprisingly find not only the bodies of Byakko and Genbu but also Kirin. Void asks Blast if he was the one who defeated it, but Blast denies it, pointing out that it is obvious who (Saitama) was responsible.
A few days later, the Heavenly Ninja Party persistently bothers Saitama at his apartment, asking him to become their leader, much to his annoyance.
