— Garou introducing Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist[1] |
Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist (怪害神殺拳, Kaigai Shinsatsu-ken; Viz: Killing God Fist of Monster Destruction) is a martial arts style developed by Garou in his monsterized state.
Overview[]
Garou combines the various fighting styles he has acquired throughout his numerous battles, resulting in a unified combat style.[2] He claims it possesses no weak spots and is of "Disaster Level God".[3]

Garou using the style against Flashy Flash and Platinum Sperm
Upon first using Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist, Garou repelled both Flashy Flash, a formidable S-Class hero, and Platinum Sperm, a powerful Mysterious Being.[4] Later, using this style, he was able to overwhelm and injure Sage Centipede, a massive and immensely strong Mysterious Being, who acknowledged Garou's terrifying strength.

Garou perfecting Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist
At the climax of his fight with Sage Centipede, Garou perfected his style, slicing the enormous centipede in half with a single karate chop, from space down to the Earth's surface.[5] In his battle with Saitama later, using this style alongside his keen observational skills,[6] Garou could predict, evade, and even counter some of the hero's attacks with impressive accuracy, something that mildly impresses the Caped Baldy.[7]
During their fight on Io, Saitama, after copying Garou's techniques, used a hand chop that Garou recognized as part of Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist, making Saitama momentarily the second user of this unique fighting style, though he chose not to employ it further.[8]
After his defeat by Saitama and the subsequent loss of his divine powers from "God", Garou currently cannot utilize this style, having forgotten all the secrets he awakened when he transformed into a monster.[9]

In the original webcomic, using this powerful style, Garou could toy with several S-Class heroes, even deflecting Atomic Samurai's Atomic Slash, which is a sword technique capable of unleashing over 100 slashes in an instant.[10]
List of Styles Absorbed[]
As explained by Garou,[11] there are 11 main fighting styles that make up the Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist (12 in the original webcomic[12]):
- Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist (流水岩砕拳, Ryūsui Gansai-ken; Viz: Fist of Flowing Water, Crushed Rock)
- Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist (旋風鉄斬拳, Senpū Tetsuzan-ken; Viz: Fist of Whirling Wind, Slashing Steel)
- Exploding Heart Release Fist (爆心解放拳, Bakushin Kaihō-ken; Viz: Fist of Exploding Heart, Liberation)
- Tiger Fang True Fist (虎牙烈真拳, Koga Retsu Shin-ken; Viz: Fist of Tiger Fangs, Biting Truth)
- Fire Dance Bullet Trail Fist (炎舞弾道拳, Enmai Dandō-ken) (Webcomic Only)
- Purgatory Abyss Fist (空虚深淵拳, Kūkyo Shin'en-ken; Viz: Fist of Abyssal Emptiness)
- Lake-Breaking Ice River Fist (湖割氷河拳, Kogatsu Hyōga-ken; Viz: Fist That Parts Lakes and Glaciers)
- Fool's Path Mountain Range Fist (愚道山脈拳, Gudō Sanmyaku-ken; Viz: Fist of Foolish Paths, Mountain Ranges)
- Ultimate Fist of the Yatagarasu (八咫烏極拳, Yatagarasu Kyoku-ken; Viz: Ultimate Fist of the Three-Legged Crow)
- Pressure Point Killer Fist (圧迫面殺拳, Appaku Mensatsu-ken; Viz: Killing Fist That Crushes Faces)
- Poisonous Ogre Fist (空鬼未毒拳, Kūki Midoku-ken; Viz: Fist of the Nonpoisonous Sky Demon)
- Lone Fist of Prosperity (引孤隆盛拳, Inko Ryūsei-ken; Viz: Fist of Lonely Prosperity)
Known Techniques[]
- God Slayer Instant Attack (神殺瞬撃, Shinsatsu Shungeki; Viz: God Killer Swift Strike): Garou throws a volley of punches and different hand-strikes at the opponents.[13] In the original webcomic, this attack was enough to encourage Saitama to use Two-Handed Consecutive Normal Punches to counter it, instead of just Consecutive Normal Punches.[14]
- God Slayer Ascending Attack (神殺昇撃, Shinsatsu Shōgeki; Viz: God Killer Rising Strike): Garou strikes his opponents extremely hard multiple times before sending them flying with his final blow.[13] When using this attack against Saitama, he is seen aiming for the hero's abdomen, starting with a straight punch and following with a knee.[13] In the original webcomic, when he used this technique, Garou delivered a powerful rising slash with one of his arms.[15]
- Unnamed Hand Chop: Garou leaps down with explosive force and delivers a precise hand chop to his opponent's head. He first used this move to take down Sage Centipede, slicing the giant monster clean in half from head to tail.[16] Saitama later copies this technique and uses it against Garou on Io.[17]
