The Hero Name Victims Association (ヒーローネーム被害者の会, Hīrōnēmu Higaisha no Kai) is a group of Hero Association heroes discontent with their given hero names.

Overview[]

The Hero Name Victims Association consists of several heroes ranging from C-Class up to A-Class who are displeased with the names given to them by the Hero Association. Their goal is to force the Hero Association to apologize and give them new names. After recruiting Saitama, he becomes their leader.[1]

Neo Heroes Saga[]

Neo Heroes Uprising Arc[]

The members of the Hero Name Victims Association implore Saitama to become the executive for their group. As they claim that he is "the one with by far the most terrible name among A-Class heroes." Saitama mistakes this hero group for the Neo Heroes, saying "you must be the rumored..."[2]

The existence of the Hero Name Victims Association appears to trouble Saitama, as he continues to ponder and consider joining them long after their first meeting. Genos mistakes this for him worrying about Sweet Mask.[3]

The group appears outside the Hero Association headquarters while staff members are meeting to talk about the Neo Heroes. They express their displeasure about their hero names, with Saitama leading the effort. The gathering is interrupted by the announcement of several Dragon-level monsters being spotted.[4] The group arrives at the scene where Suiko, Butterfly DX, and Chain'n'toad is battling disaster level Dragon threat Mirror. The efforts of the heroes are in vain as Mirror easily overpowers everyone. After witnessing the abilities of the threat, the Hero Name Victims Association decides to retreat, except Saitama who swiftly destroys Mirror after the robot brings up his hero name, which he dislikes. As a result, more heroes become aware of Saitama's strength, including Blue, who has been hiding and watching from nearby.[5]

Protest

The group protesting their repugnant hero names

After this incident, the Hero Association acknowledges Mirror's defeat but remains skeptical to believe it was due to the activity of the Hero Name Victims Association.[6] As the group continues to protest, the Hero Association dismisses them and are more inclined to focus on their conflict with the Neo Heroes.[7]

Somedays later, Blue and Suiryu head to the Hero Association. Blue is denied entrance and resorts to yelling to catch their attention. Incidentally, the Hero Name Victims Association is protesting simultaneously and Blue's voice is drowned out. After some interactions, Blue finds Saitama and intends to assert dominance on the battlefield on the latter hero. After Blue's departure, Suiko arrives and thanks Saitama for saving her. Suiryu arrives and attempts to persuade the two to join the Neo Heroes, but to no avail.[8]

Aside from the daily routine of protesting, the Hero Names Association also fights monsters from time to time. After obtaining notice that there are monsters nearby, the group arrives to the scene only to find that a squad of the Neo Heroes has already taken care of the threat. It's explained that the Neo Heroes have dispatch vehicles and helicopters that allow them to arrive at scenes more efficiently than other heroes. Just as another emergency alarm goes off, the Neo Heroes plan to run to the scene but Saitama proves to be much faster.[9]
