Exploding Heart Release Fist (爆ばく心しん解かい放ほう拳けん, Bakushin Kaihō-ken; Viz: Fist of Exploding Heart, Liberation) is a martial art created and utilized by Bang in his youth before he went on to found Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist.

History

After being defeated by Bomb in his youth, Bang chose to abandon this fighting style and instead develop Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist. Bang had kept the scrolls detailing the techniques of this style hidden in a safe in his dojo. One day, Garou broke into the safe and learned about this martial arts style by simply reading the scrolls.

Overview

When Bang demonstrated Exploding Heart Release Fist during his fight with Bomb in the past, his arms appeared to leave afterimages. Unlike Bang's current fighting style, which is defense-oriented and focuses on redirecting attacks, this martial art revolves around brute force and destructive power which pummels the user's opponents into submission. This fighting style works by causing the user's heart to pulse explosively in time with the impact of their punches, allowing them to surpass their bodily limits as a result of the massive flow of adrenaline, enabling them to hit much harder than the maximum force their body would normally exert. With their punches, the user can also generate shockwaves that cause injuries for those who attempt to deflect the punches, as shown when Bang injured his own arm deflecting Garou's blows.

After becoming a half-monster, Garou began using this style to gain an advantage over Bang in combat, although Bomb noted that Garou's usage of it was still incomplete and inferior to Bang's.
