"I.o." (Tonari: 212) is the 172nd chapter of the One-Punch Man manga series.
Short Summary[]
The moment before Saitama's and Garou's punches connect, Blast creates a portal and teleports both combatants above Earth's atmosphere. The collision unleashes tremendous energy, threatening the planet below. With the support of interdimensional allies, Blast diverts the destructive force, thereby saving Earth. The backlash from their punches propels Saitama and Garou to Jupiter's moon, Io, where their fight resumes.
Long Summary[]
Just before the impact of their Serious Punches, Blast opens a portal and transports himself along with Saitama and Garou to space. Once outside Earth's atmosphere, their fists collide, releasing a massive surge of energy. Blast struggles to maintain the portal's structure to shield the planet from the shockwave. Joined by his interdimensional allies, they express astonishment that someone other than Blast can take on Garou's divine power and assist him in redirecting the energy away from Earth, successfully protecting it. However, the recoil from their own attack sends both Saitama and Garou hurtling deep into space.
They crash onto Io, a moon of Jupiter. As Garou regains his composure from the unexpected landing, Saitama seizes the opportunity, thinking he can unleash his full power. He considers placing Genos' core in his suit but decides to keep it in case his suit gets damaged. When Garou suggests they find a way back to Earth, Saitama interrupts, insisting that defeating him is the priority, directly challenging the Hero Hunter. Taken aback by Saitama's intensity, Garou opens a portal beneath him.
Saitama quickly kicks the portal away and punches Garou, sending him flying off the moon. However, Garou opens a portal to return while creating another behind Saitama to strike him. To his astonishment, Saitama grabs the portal's edge and flips it down, exposing Garou to another punch that sends him crashing back to the surface. Saitama mocks Garou's "tricks" and urges him to use his fists.
Garou surrounds Saitama with multiple portals for an attack and speeds through them, unleashing a flurry of techniques. He employs Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist, followed by Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, and then Exploding Heart Release Fist, culminating in Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist, relentlessly pounding the hero. Garou finishes with Nuclear Fission Gravity Knuckle, resulting in a massive explosion that devastates Io.
Though his suit is damaged, Saitama remains unscathed and retaliates with Serious Table Flip, digging into the moon’s crust and launching tons of lunar rock into the air, tearing the surface apart. Caught in the attack, Garou is helplessly tossed in the debris, unable to maintain his balance. Saitama charges through the chaos, surrounding Garou with his Omnidirectional Serious Punch, creating multiple afterimages delivering a Serious Punch from all angles. In a bid to evade, Garou opens a portal, only to find Saitama following him through. Saitama punches him out of the portal, sending Garou careening across the shattered moon's surface.
Garou regains his footing and resolves to focus. Believing Saitama is merely holding the edge of the debris, he opens a portal to the moon's atmosphere. Before he realizes it, Saitama strikes again with another Serious Punch. Aware of Saitama's limitless strength, Garou activates Mode: Saitama and claims that he can also replicate that power to secure victory. They both land punches on each other simultaneously, hitting each other in the face.
