Garou and Metal Bat attack Sage Centipede, but the monster's durability and regeneration thwart them. Garou seizes Sage Centipede's regeneration core, stopping its healing. Metal Bat, unable to continue fighting, collapses, urging Garou to finish the fight.
Long Summary[]
Garou and Metal Bat launch their techniques, Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist and Savage Tornado, against Sage Centipede. However, their attacks fail to subdue the monster due to its incredible durability and strong regeneration abilities. While acknowledging Garou's power, Sage Centipede views Metal Bat as a non-threat and considers taking him hostage. Garou criticizes Metal Bat for his ineffectiveness against the centipede-like creature. Sage Centipede, overhearing their dispute, realizes its plan won't work and continues to chase the helicopter carrying Tareo and the injured heroes, aiming to capture it.
As the monster closes in, One Shotter, unable to aim properly due to losing his specialized right eye, tries to shoot it in the head but misses. Sage Centipede ultimately ensnares the helicopter with its antennas, destroying the rotor and taking the occupants hostage. At this moment, Garou and Metal Bat freeze. Sage Centipede then unleashes its Centipede Grand March, altering the terrain and striking them. Garou, injured, kneels and is grabbed by one of the monster's human arms. Just as he is about to be struck, One Shotter regains his aim with assistance from Gearsper and shoots the monster in the eyes, momentarily distracting it, which allows Garou to escape.
Garou then retaliates against Sage Centipede, prompting cheers from Tareo and the other heroes who mistake him for a hero. As Garou works to free the helicopter from the monster's antennas, he nearly gets attacked, but Metal Bat, despite his serious injuries, intervenes and slices off Sage Centipede's antennas, surprising the creature.
Despite his injuries, Metal Bat is "pumped up" through his Fighting Spirit, boosting his strength significantly. He informs Garou of a large net 500 meters away, which Garou hurls the helicopter toward the safe spot. The two stand ready to confront the centipede again, who dismisses their teamwork as pathetic before charging at them with its 6666 Leg Grand Drill, a powerful drill-like attack. In response, Garou and Metal Bat, working in tandem, unleash their respective techniques, Cross Fang Dragon Slayer Fist and Savage Hurricane, unintentionally creating a combo that counters Sage Centipede's assault and cracks its tough shell. It becomes evident that Metal Bat is significantly weaker than Garou; however, their "resonance" amplifies Metal Bat's abilities to impressive levels.
The duo continues their assault, with Metal Bat now capable of damaging Sage Centipede's exoskeleton with each swing due to their resonance, although he is quickly knocked back by the monster. Garou, also benefiting from this resonance, manages to pierce through Sage Centipede's body and seize its "regeneration core," halting its ability to heal. Sage Centipede is taken aback by its loss of regeneration, while Garou explains that he identified a specific spot on the monster releasing energy, leading him to discover the core. As Sage Centipede attempts to reclaim its core, Garou launches it high into the sky. Both he and the centipede then race to catch it. Metal Bat, unable to continue, collapses and murmurs that Garou must defeat Sage Centipede before losing consciousness due to his severe injuries.
