Blue (ブルー, Burū) is the founder and top hero of the Neo Heroes. He is purportedly the son of Blast.[1]
Appearance
Blue is a young man with light hair that falls over his face in bangs. His eyes have multicolored irises, being light near the center but dark towards the outside. He wears a baggy white jacket, gloves, and pants, with black socks and white sneakers. When Blue uses his power, tendrils of electricity appear intermittently around his body.
Personality
Blue is a quiet and reserved individual, not speaking at the Neo Heroes meeting until prompted to do so by McCoy, despite being the leader of the organization. He is shown to have an inquisitive nature, evidenced by his pursuit of Saitama and Sweet Mask after the latter's recent monsterization. He is very determined and ambitious, being able to found the Neo Heroes despite his young age. He also has somewhat of an impatient and irritable streak, growing annoyed with Genos after being stopped and interrogated by him.
Plot
History
16 years prior to his introduction, Blue was supposedly born to Blast and an unknown mother. At the beginning of the Neo Heroes Saga, he formed the Neo Heroes and recruited several people to form its ranks.
Neo Heroes Saga
Supreme Hero Arc
Blue is first shown chasing Saitama, who is running away from the battle that just transpired in I-City with a monsterized Sweet Mask in tow. Worried that he is going to fall behind, Blue decides to use his one-time weapon, stating that he needs to remove his suit's limiter. However, he is intercepted by Genos, who orders him to stop and questions him on his actions. Blue frustratedly asks Genos why he would interfere in his attempt to catch Saitama, also questioning Genos on the motives of the Hero Association and Saitama's identity. He begins to remove his jacket, warning Genos that the situation could escalate to violence if he did not cooperate. Genos remarks on the high energy signature he detects on Blue's forearm, stating that it is prohibited for individuals unregistered in the Hero Association to carry weapons of that nature. Blue retorts that Genos himself resorted to vigilantism prior to registering as a hero, stating that he did a background check on every powerful hero. Blue then introduces himself as the number one Neo Hero. Genos, upon realizing this, states that there is no reason for them to fight and then begins to walk away. Blue demands to know what Saitama will do with Sweet Mask, but Genos offhandedly states that he does not know before leaving. Blue contemplates the corruption of the Hero Association.
Later, Blue is shown sitting in the back of the Neo Heroes leader meeting and is introduced by McCoy as the catalyst for the organization's creation. Blue states that he created the Neo Heroes to show the world what heroes truly are, adding that this was no easy task and that they would have to give it their all. 'A' expresses his surprise at Blue's young age, and Zaedats remarks that Blue is special due to him being Blast's son.
Abilities and Powers
Blue is stated by himself and McCoy to be the leader and most powerful member of the Neo Heroes, including people as strong as Raiden or as skilled as Suiryu. His combination of feats indicates that he is a well rounded and very skilled hero.
Physical Abilities
Immense Speed and Reflexes: Blue is shown being able to follow and keep pace with Saitama, admittedly while the bald hero was carrying a monsterized Sweet Mask. When stopped by Genos in midair, Blue quickly readjusts his trajectory and lands on a building unharmed.
Immense Strength: Blue is able to effortlessly stop himself from moving at high speeds by digging his feet into the ground, slightly damaging the roof of a building in the process.
Equipment
Suit: It is unclear as of yet whether Blue's clothing comprises his suit, conceals it, or both. However, the suit is known to have a limiter which, when removed, reveals Blue's true power.
Weapons: Blue has a very powerful weapon mounted on his right forearm. It is unknown what the function or appearance of this weapon is, but Genos was able to detect a high energy signature coming from it.
