Amahare (アマハレ, Amahare) was a swordmaster and a member of the Council of Swordmasters. He was killed by Fuhrer Ugly.

Appearance

Amahare was a middle-aged man. He had dark hair braided into cornrows and tied in a high ponytail. He wore a floral pattern haori over his white kimono and accessorizes with many necklaces and earnings.

Personality

Amahare was a calm and kind man, offering for his pupils to go after Garou. In the battle against Fuhrer Ugly, he willingly sacrificed himself to save Atomic Samurai and Iaian from the foe's acidic punch.

Super Fight Arc

Amahare attends a meeting of the Council of Swordmasters. At the meeting Atomic Samurai asks the council members for help in catching and killing Garou in worries that Bang might fail and die. The council members agree, except Haragiri who mocks Atomic Samurai's plea. Haragiri proceeds to show them the Monster Cells and reveals he had received them from the Monster Association and transforms into a Mysterious Being himself. He then orders the council members to eat the cells or he will kill them, but Atomic Samurai cuts him first, killing him.

Amahare killed by Fuhrer Ugly after sacrificing himself to save Atomic Samurai and Iaian

Amahare along with Nichirin, Zanbai and Spring Mustachio come to aid Atomic Samurai in his fight against Black Sperm. While Amahare is defending against countless copies of Black Sperm alongside his comrades, Fuhrer Ugly then arrives in his mutated form with Gums' stomach acid covering the former's entire body. He then witnesses the monster brutally kill Zanbai by spitting an acid drop onto his head. When Fuhrer Ugly throws his Full Body Melting Punch at both Atomic Samurai and Nichirin in an attempt to kill them, Amahare sacrifices himself to save Atomic Samurai and Iaian when the latter also tries to save his master, shortly before telling Atomic Samurai to avenge Zanbai, resulting him being gruesomely killed as his entire body is melted to the bone from the acid punch.

Abilities and Powers

Being a member of the Council of Swordmasters, Amahare is very powerful and skilled in swordsmanship. Atomic Samurai was also confident enough in Amahare's strength to ask him to assist the hero in pursuing and facing Garou rather than relying on the Hero Association. Alongside the other heroes and the other members of the Council of Swordmasters, he was capable of fending off countless clones of Black Sperm surrounding him during their fight.

Physical Abilities

Enhanced Speed and Reflexes: Amahare possessed a decent amount of speed and reflexes. He was capable of drawing his sword and slashing at high speeds and holding his own against many clones of Black Sperm surrounding him.

Master Swordsman: As a member of the Council of Swordmasters, Amahare was a highly skilled swordsman. He was capable of holding his own against many of Black Sperm's clones surrounded him.

Equipment

Swords: Amahare carried twin jian swords in battle. He also had a pair of double blades mounted on his footwear.

• Amahare (アマハレ, Amahare) means Rain Clearing.
• Amahare's face seems to be modeled after Takashi Shimura, a Japanese actor best known for his roles in Akira Kurosawa's films such as Seven Samurai (1954).
