A-City (A市 A Shi) was a very large city on Earth. After being completely destroyed by the Dark Matter Thieves, the area was rebuilt by Metal Knight into an expansive complex with highways leading to the other cities. It now serves as the location of the new Hero Association headquarters[1] and is currently inhabited by Hero Association heroes and staff.[2]
There are 67 heroes living in this city.[3]
It was later opened as a private residential complex for the rich, complete with pools, restaurants, cafes, and even an underground mall.

Hero Association Saga

The council of the Hero Association calls up the heroes to check the status of their cities.
Alien Conquerors Arc
Boros and the Dark Matter Thieves attack A-City. They bombard the city, demolishing 99.8% of it in an instant.[5] The Dark Matter Thieves are defeated by 6 S-Class heroes, Iaian, and Saitama.
The Hero Association contracts Metal Knight to clear and rebuild A-City, which he does in a week. He focuses on turning the Hero Association headquarters into a nigh-impregnable citadel and leaves most of the surrounding city a wasteland.
Psychic Sisters Arc
Having been remade into a fortress by Metal Knight, some of the A-Class and S-Class move there, including Saitama. Since there is still a lot of vacant property within the citadel, some of it is turned into a private residential complex for the rich looking to stay safe, complete with pools, restaurants, cafes, and even an underground mall. It also has the latest anti-earthquake technology installed. Part of the complex is used by the Hero Association as a prison for Mysterious Beings of up to disaster level Demon. [6]
Parts of the stronghold are destroyed when Tatsumaki and Fubuki clash in the prison area, releasing all the Demon threat level monster prisoners. These damages are further compounded when Saitama intervenes by jettisoning both himself and Tatsumaki out of the building.[7]
