Metal Knight drones have never shown many speed feats.
Also, ICBMs can go at Mach 20+ speeds as well as supermaneuverable HGVs which can move at Mach 5-10, and they can detonate the warhead prematurely to get rid of the drone
It got to the meteor from potentially across the supercontinent in ~10 mins. Of course the Nuke outspeeds, it’s the targeting that could be the issue here. I suppose premature air bursts could help, but doesn’t fix the civilian shield then leader strike strategy. Plus wouldn’t taking out GPS satellites break half of the nukes?
However, if Metal Knight started from ground level, it would be more difficult especially if they started in the Russian steppes or the Navajo Desert, or even the pacific ocean, the military would stand a better chance
If Metal Knight is being presented as superior to Genos even after his ‘final upgrade’ when he one-shot three dragons in his previous one, I don’t think the militaries can take this.
I'm only going with the military based off the U.S weaponry. the U.S have firearms capable of even piercing a standard Abrams. so suffice to say they can penetrate metal knights armour. also he is "presented" not proven stronger. if we go by lore and statements metal knight wins. if we go by feats he is stomped.
